A 2015 graduate of Iowa State University’s Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication, Chase Russell works in the Arizona Cardinals media relations department. In his current role, Russell responsible for supporting the organization’s media relations efforts, contributing to team publications and maintaining football information relevant to the franchise.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Russell interned with the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens public relations departments during the 2016 and 2015 seasons, respectively, and while in college, he worked in the Iowa State Athletics Department as the primary media contact for the swimming and diving team and the men’s and women’s track and field programs.
Russell served a term as the 2014 president of the National Collegiate Club Golf Association and worked as public relations chair for the Iowa State University Golf Club until May 2015 after chartering the competitive, non-varsity team in March of 2013. As the World Golf Foundation’s 2014 GOLF 20/20 Millennial Intern, Russell collaborated with industry constituents to improve social media marketing strategies and engage 18 to 35-year-old golfers.
